Semi-final Fin Review

| August 15, 2009

Both the U14’s and U16’s Cronulla Sharks teams had great wins in their respective semi finals last weekend, and now move through to the preliminary finals on Saturday 22nd August at Barden Ridge Oval. Good luck to both teams — calling on all Sharks supporters to get out to Barden Ridge and support our teams. Unfortunately the U11 Blue’s and U12’s went down fighting (and without luck) to strong Bankstown teams. The footy was fast and tough — well done Sharkies. Semi final results:

  • Under 11: Cronulla Blue (4.4-28) defeated by Bankstown (7.4-46)
  • Under 12: Cronulla (1.9-15) defeated by Bankstown (4.5-29)
  • Under 14: Cronulla (10.11-71) defeated Miranda (3.9-27)
  • Under 16: Cronulla (12.11-83) defeated Bangor (7.7-49)

Thank You from the Committee

The Cronulla Sharks Junior AFL Committee would like to send our sincere thanks to all those who donated their time so generously last Sunday to help make the youth finals day at Gwawley a great success. The canteen and the BBQ ran very smoothly and helped generate a bonus end of season profit for the club. Also thanks to our time keepers, ground managers and all of the other parents who helped out on the day.

Again, a big thank you to everyone who gave up some of their time on Sunday to come down help out and also watch our U14s and U16 win their semi finals.

Round 13 Fin Review

| July 25, 2009

The Cronulla Sharks Junior AFL Club has been chosen to host the 2009 Youth Semi Finals at Gwawley Oval on Sunday 16th August. This is a great result for the club and an opportunity for the us to show how professionally we can run the event, plus make some money for the club. Let’s all chip in and help out.

Round 12 Fin Review

With only 3 matches remaining in the 2009 season the race is on for a number of teams to make or consolidate their position in the top 4 before the finals campaign begins. Welcome back to everyone after the school holidays and we hope all players are fit, healthy and ready for some footy.
