Under 14

Reports and information for the Cronulla Sharks Under 14s.

U14 Rnd 14: Cronulla 2.9.21 defeated by 8.6.54

Today, I wish I could say we played a great team game, however I can’t. We had some great flashes of brilliance and then felt like we had done enough. Thanks once again to Travis and Callum who played up for us yet again from the 13’s, it certainly is very much appreciated.

U14 Rnd 10: Cronulla 0.4.4 defeated by Bangor 10.7.67

One day I am going to be able to write a report saying we had all 18 of our players fit and able to play out the whole game, with everyone putting in 110% for the whole game. Not yet, but at least we managed to hold Bangor down to 10 goals this time which is half of what they scored the first game against us. Unfortunately we couldn’t kick any goals this week we managed just 4 behinds.

U14 Rnd 8: Cronulla 1.5.11 defeated by Bankstown 2.11.23

The awards this week were as follows, The Crest Award went to Harry Russell this week, and he received it for a great effort in defense . He contested for the footy well, he shepherded well and helped out with good run out of the backline, so well done. The $5 canteen award went to Ned Coleman, he tackled and kicked well and became a good target. The $3 canteen award went to Jayden Cripps.

U14 Rnd 6: Cronulla 6.5.41 defeated by Miranda 6.9.45

The awards this week were as follows, The Crest Award went to Ned Coleman this week, and he received it for a great effort through the middle of the ground . He held his marks and contested for the footy well he shepherded well and laid a couple of tackles, so well done. The $5 canteen award went to Jackson Woolley, he asked to have a go in the ruck as a fill in for Jack Stott.

U14 Rnd 4: Cronulla 4.2.26 defeated by Ramsgate 11.7.73

This was going to be a tough game against last years Premiers. What we didn’t realise was that a miscommunication between Ramsgate, the Umpires and us saw Ramsgate start with 17 against our 15 for the first one and half quarters, making it even tougher than imagined.

U14 Rnd 5: Cronulla 3.4.22 defeated by Penshurst 16.14.110

I am going to start with the awards first this week. The Crest Award went to Declan Whyte this week, and he received it for following directions as given before the game. He held his marks and contested for the footy well, he also made sure on all bar one occasion that the ball didn’t rebound straight back to the oppositions forward line, so well done.

U14 Rnd 3: Cronulla 2.3.15 defeated by Bangor 20.7.127

Again I have to thank the under 13’s who played up, as we had 3 kids away, 1 driving the porcelain bus and Jarrod out injured. So thanks to Tyler, Travis, Sean, Tom and Braydon as well as Jake who filled in for 5 minutes or so to make sure we had a starting 15 on the field.

U14 Rnd 1: Cronulla 2.3.15 defeated by Bankstown 4.10.34

This game was always going to be an interesting test for us. Last years premiers against us with 2 new kids, welcome Rob Brady and Zach Coleman. While we had lost a few players, most of our current kids had grown a bit more and with the pre season fitness work done by Tracy we should have better fitness.
