Under 16

This was the game we were waiting for....From our first training session at the Wanda Sandhills through to our last session on Thursday night the boys put in the hard work, preparation and continual improvement not only on individual skills but also playing in different positions giving the team greater flexibility and combinations... while also improving on our teamwork.

Another close game today against Bangor. The boys were a bit under the pump in the first half but with us getting back to doing the little things right, playing the ball, and getting more out of our midfield and better delivery to the forwards, resulted in a come from behind win.
This was another good team effort with everyone making a contribution. Well done boys.

It was a solid hit out for the boys against Miranda leading into finals this week.

A very close game where we were basically outplayed for most of the day. Lets learn from this game with the knowledge that we can do better and to respect the opposition.

Although the score looks one way Miranda to their credit took the game up to us and battled hard for 4 quarters.
 
We played some boys in different positions and they all did well.

We had a competitive first half followed by a more direct 2nd half thanks to more run from the midfield and improved teamwork around the ground.

Another cliffanger game against Bangor..... much better than last week.
 
The difference this week was almost a full team and a better attitude. We played 4 quater football and came from behind 22 points in the last quarter to win... Well done team...
 

We played a very good Bangor team and with 12 players missing from our team we were always going to do it tough.
 
Bangor won well with the mercy rule hitting us midway through the third quarter.
 
We play Bangor again this week with a few more back on board, so hopefully we can show the real Cronulla U/16s.
 

We had a few players missing for our match against Ramsgate which gave us 22 players for the day.  The team work and handball was the most pleasing to watch along with our defence.
 

We had a good team effort against Bankstown on a wet Kelso oval. Thanks to DQ for coaching the team, much appreciated.
 
Once again we had a good spread of goal kickers with a good conversion rate which is an improvement.
 
Good games from all with special mention to Harleigh, Dave, Daniel, Nat & Westy. Well done boys.
